Set in the shadow of Mount Meru, Arusha is the perfect starting point for the Tanzanian northern safari circuit.

Arusha’s convenient location is far from the best thing about it. It is also a hub of adventure and culture. Arusha National Park offers lush scenery and plenty of game, while avid hikers can scale the impressive Mount Meru.

The town has a selection of luxury lodges and some excellent local restaurants. Moreso, Arusha is a great place to learn more about the Maasai culture, where you will see many of these colourfully clad pastoralists.

For those looking to extend their Tanzanian adventure, the journey from Arusha to Zanzibar offers a delightful contrast to a classic safari and pristine beaches. Whether you’re exploring in Arusha National Park or setting out to conquer the heights of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Arusha serves as a pivotal starting point for unforgettable experiences in Tanzania.

January to February
January and February are the semi-dry months between short and long rainy seasons. There aren’t as many crowds during this time and the surroundings are lush and full of birdlife.

The Green Season

November to December
This is the short rainy season and sees the landscape transform into an oasis populated by plenty of migratory birds.

March to May
This is the longer rainy season, it can be difficult to traverse certain areas during this time, so chat to us before you book.
