Discover South Africa’s largest and most famous game reserve, where untamed wilderness and world-class luxury intertwine — the iconic Kruger National Park and its prestigious private reserves.

Kruger National Park encompasses many ecosystems across different South African provinces over almost 2 million ha. As a result, the Park is tremendously biodiverse with everything from the Big 5 to plains game, predators and over 500 species of birds.

Beyond its borders lie private reserves — including Sabi Sands, Timbavati, Manyeleti, and Klaserie — offering a chance to stay in exclusive lodges with exceptional game viewing, particularly of leopards and other big cats.

The Greater Kruger can be explored in many ways, from guided walking safaris, to hot air balloons, horseback safaris and classic game drives.

The Dry Season

May to September
This is the dry season, and a great time to spot wildlife as they congregate around water sources. Kruger National Park can get quite busy from July to August, however the more exclusive Greater Kruger reserves are more quiet. June to August can get rather cold, so make sure to pack an extra layer for early morning game drives.

The Green Season

October to April
With October, the rainy season approaches and with it, higher temperatures. The green season is from roughly November to March. The park can get busy over December and January during the school summer holidays in South Africa. However, the shoulder months of March and April can be lovely and mild with lots of birdlife and baby animals.
